Aaron Keay Featured in Exclusive Interview on Business, Investing, and Fitness
Aaron Keay, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Entrepreneur and Investor Shares Insights on Building Businesses and His New Role at RX3 Growth Partners

Entrepreneur and investor Aaron Keay has been featured in an exclusive online interview, where he discusses his transition from professional sports to business, venture capital, and investing. The in-depth conversation covers his experiences scaling companies, investing in disruptive consumer brands, and his latest role as an advisory board member at RX3 Growth Partners, an investment firm co-founded by NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Keay’s journey began as a professional soccer player for Canada and the Vancouver Whitecaps, where he developed a competitive mindset, discipline, and leadership—skills that would later shape his approach to business and investing. After stepping away from sports, he co-founded Innovative Fitness before moving into venture capital and high-growth investing. Over the years, he has played a key role in IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, and investments totaling over $5 billion, focusing on consumer products, health and wellness, and technology.

“I’ve always been drawn to opportunities where I can compete, build, grow and influence,” Keay shares in the interview. “Whether it was on the soccer field or in business, I love the challenge of making something better and scaling it to its full potential - Brand Team building is very rewarding.”

A Strategic Move: Joining RX3 Growth Partners

One of the key highlights of the interview is Keay’s decision to officially join the advisory board at RX3 Growth Partners. RX3 is a consumer-focused investment firm that connects growth-stage brands with influential investors, professional athletes, and entertainers. Keay, a long-time investor in RX3, is now taking a more active role in investment selection, company advisory, and growth strategy.

“I’ve been investing with RX3 for years because I believe in their model,” Keay explains. “They don’t just invest in companies—they help them scale by elevating strategic partnerships and working authentically in a genuine way with high profile networks.”

“I think the RX3 eco system is the absolute perfect blend for athletes, artists, celebrities and influencers alike,” Keay suggests. “RX3 provides those groups with an authentic and genuine pathway for investing their capital. Given the nature of consumer products their special place in society gives immediate validity, attention and exposure to our investments. Everyone is aligned, no one’s paid, and those who put the spotlight on the product, service, or technology authentically utilise it.”

His new role will allow him to help RX3 select investments, advise founders, and strengthen the firm’s engagement across social media and its network of athletes and business leaders.

Bringing Innovation to Fitness: The Rise of Kommunity Fitness

Beyond RX3, Keay is focused on one of his newest entrepreneurial ventures, Kommunity Fitness, a boutique training concept that integrates premium video content into in-person training experiences. The goal is to create a high-end fitness experience that combines digital innovation with group training.

“We know that people want premium fitness experiences with instructor engagement and in class entertainment within their peer and social groups,” Keay says. “Kommunity is about building a fitness brand that feels exclusive, high-energy, and immersive, while allowing every member to measure their performance with their Kommunity 10 challenges and quarterly events so members can track their progress in a meaningful and personalized way.”

His competition in the space is strong—brands like Barry’s Bootcamp, F45, and Orange Theory have dominated the boutique fitness industry. But Keay sees a gap in the market that Kommunity can fill.

“Fitness continues to evolve, and entertainment combined with technology is becoming a key part of having success in the Boutique and Group Fitness Enviroment.” Stated Keay “The Kommunity 10 program gives Members the opportunity to benchmark personal performance quarterly on key metrics where they can also partner with friends, compete and support each other socially and once a quarter can consider competing against a broader member base. That’s an option for everyone from Beginner to Elite and that’s what makes up a community in fitness - something for everybody.

Kommunity Fitness is set to compete with established boutique fitness brands like Barry’s Bootcamp, F45, and Orange Theory, but with a unique blend of digital and in-person experiences that Keay believes will set it apart.

Balancing Business, Fitness, and Family

Despite his demanding schedule, Keay remains highly active, competing in golf, cycling, and endurance events like Hyrox. He also continues to mentor entrepreneurs and support philanthropic causes, including KidsSafe and Music Heals.

“I believe in balance,” Keay says. “You have to push yourself in business, but you also need to stay active, take care of your health, and spend time with family.”
